Conditions to get a renewal of the driving license in Europe and non-European countries.
In accordance with the European Directive 2006/126 / EC you may drive in Spain with a European driving license for 2 years from the date of residence in Spain. After this period, it is necessary to renew the permit in Spain.
Regarding permits issued by non-EU countries attached to the Geneva Convention or the International Convention of Paris will be valid for driving for 6 months after obtaining residency.
The requirements for validation are:
- ID card or passport.
- Residence Permit in the case of non-EU or certificate of registration in the Central Register of Foreigners for foreign nationals.
- Community driving license y counterpart driving license when necessary.
- Photograph.
