Do you want to make a significant capital investment in Spain?
One of the assumptions that Law 14/2013 on support for entrepreneurs and their internationalisation considers a significant capital investment, is the development of a business project in Spain, considered and accredited as being of general interest, for which at least one of the following conditions will be assessed:
1. Creation of JOBS.
2. Realisation of an investment with a relevant SOCIO-ECONOMIC IMPACT in the GEOGRAPHICAL AREA in which the activity is to be carried out.
3. Relevant contribution to SCIENTIFIC AND/OR TECHNOLOGICAL innovation.
What documents are requested with the visa or residency application?
In addition to the documents which are generally provided for investment visa or residency applications (financial means, passport, application form, medical insurance, criminal record certificate etc.), a report from the GENERAL DIRECTION OF INTERNATIONAL TRADE AND INVESTMENT OF THE MINISTRY OF ECONOMY AND COMPETITIVENESS must be provided, which confirms that the business project presented is in the GENERAL INTEREST.
To obtain this report, an application must be submitted to the aforementioned body with a company or business plan detailing the purpose of the project and why it would represent added value for the Spanish economy.
At Pellicer & Heredia, we have a department which specialises in immigration matters and can advise you on where to apply for an investor visa/residence, what documents are required, the timeframe for a resolution, how long it is valid for, whether you can be accompanied by family members, as well as the possibility of renewing your residence in Spain or changing your permit to another type.
We process all types of residence permits and visas under both, the Community scheme and the general scheme. We also process applications for Spanish citizenship.
In addition, we can advise you and lodge the appropriate appeal against a possible refusal of a visa or residence application by the Administration.
