Christmas and the end of the year, an opportunity to bring the family together, maintain traditions and look forward to the year ahead.
In this 4th edition of “A wine with…” we talked about Education in Spain for foreign families, what opportunities there are to work in this country and the lifestyle of the international community living in the Marina Alta region.
The conversation took place in the newly opened “Riuriau” complex of Bodegas Montensanco in Teulada. A farm more than 100 years old that has been recovered and restored, maintaining the essence of their origins.
Open to the public all year round, in Bodegas Montesanco you can taste its wines, in the middle of a landscape of vineyards and pine forests, in centenary buildings, which highlight the Mediterranean wine culture and tradition. Under the MON brand, Bodegas Montesanco craft 6 limited editions single varietal wines from native grapes.
A relaxing space for a conversation with two exceptional guests: Chris Akin, International Education Leader and James Innes, business leader and executive consultant. María Sancho, the owner of the winery, was an excellent hostess for “A wine with…” and treated us to MON cava and white wine during the talk.
Chris Akin spoke to us about Education in Spain from his long experience as a headmaster. He has led in schools in seven countries and on four continents, in a 25-year career in international education. During the conversation, Chris Akin spoke about the international education centre he currently runs, Lady Elizabeth School in Benitachell, and the possibilities it offers to the international community on the Costa Blanca.
James Innes spoke about whether Spain is a good place to work and live, also from his own life experience.
An expert in business and entrepreneurship, James Innes told us the story of his international success, under the nickname “The Jobs Guru”. James is an entrepreneur, author, columnist, broadcaster, business leader and executive consultant. He is the creator of The James Innes Group – which has recently celebrated its first quarter of a century – now operates in a total of 15 countries worldwide and is the author of five best-selling business books.
Excellent wine in a unique and historic setting led to a conversation where the guests revealed some of their personal secrets and reflected on what living on the Costa Blanca brings to them personally and professionally.
Maria studied in a French Lycée and while attending her Agronomical Engineering school in Valencia soon discovered how well the wines linked all her passions: culture, agriculture, international traveling, and health.
